Name: Table Cider
Producer: Little Pomona
Fruit Varieties: Cider Apples
Style: Table Cider
ABV: usually 7.4%
Zero sulphur, vegan friendly!
Production method: A mixed bunch of cider apples are pressed and fermented in steel by naturally occurring yeasts. The resulting cider is then bottled relatively young, on lees without any additives or sulphur, and naturally carbonated. Unlike the session strength products from Ascension, Little Pomona do not blend their ciders with juice, they simply crush and ferment whole fruit. The name “Table Cider” is not in reference to it’s ABV, more the production ethos of using a blend of cider apple stock to produce a consistently approachable and easy drinking product.
Appearance: Vibrant yellow and orange
Flavour Profile: Fresh juicy apple aromas, moderate acidity to balance and very gentle tannins from the skins of the fruit. A little funk and salinity keep this cider intriguing but easy going. Finishes nice and dry with a lively carbonation that keeps you wanting more.
